HOW TO: Add a domain forwarder in Plesk

Create a New Domain Redirection

  1. Firstly, log in to Plesk and click on Websites & Domains.

  2. Secondly, select Add New Domain.
  1. Enter the following details:

    • Domain Name: the domain name that you have registered with your service provider or a domain name registrar.

    • DNS Server Configuration: select Keep master DNS zone on this server.

    • Hosting Type: select Forwarding.

    • Destination Address: the domain you want to redirect to.

    • Forwarding Type: Choose your preferred forwarding type.

      Standard Forwarding: Visitor is redirected to the site, and the actual site’s address is shown in the browser.
      Frame Forwarding: Visitor is redirected to new site without knowing that the site actually resides at another location.
  2. Lastly, click OK.

Add a Domain Forwarder with Existing Domain

  1. First, log in to Plesk and select Websites & Domains.

  2. Second, click on Hosting Settings nest to your preferred domain.

  3. Then, click on [Change] next to Hosting type.
  1. Hosting Type: select Forwarding.

    • Destination Address: the domain you want to redirect visitors.

    • Forwarding Type: Choose your preferred forwarding type.

      Standard Forwarding: Redirect visitors to the site, and the actual site’s address is shown in the browser.
      Frame Forwarding: Redirect visitors to new site without knowing that the site actually resides at another location.
  2. Lastly, click OK.
